Oakland Airport (OAK) must conduct a temporary closure of Runway 10L-28R for pavement repair work. Runway 10L-28R will be closed Tuesday, June 17th through Wednesday, June 25th.
Additionally, a second closure will occur to perform pavement repair work Tuesday, July 28th through Saturday, August 2nd.
While North Field to South Field access to the Main Runway 12-30 is not impacted by this project, closing Runway 10L-28R may impact typical runway aircraft operations at OAK. This could result in additional jet departures and arrivals in the North Field. Aircraft may overfly residential areas and residents may experience unusual aircraft noise.
