Fleet Week 2026: Oct. 4-12
OAK will serve as the temporary home to most of the Air Show performers:
- Blue Angels
- other military aircraft
- aerobatic aircraft
Description of General Activity
During Fleet Week, Blue Angels operations are expected to occur from the North Field during many of the times listed below. As a result, residents located west of the airport, beneath the departure paths of Runways 28L and 28R, may experience higher-than-normal aircraft noise levels.
Upon arrival, Blue Angels aircraft typically perform a maneuver known as a “carrier break,” during which the aircraft fly overhead of the airport before initiating a descending 270-degree right turn to align with the runway. Residents immediately north and east of the airport may experience increased noise levels during these arrivals.
These operations are a temporary part of Fleet Week activities and can result in noise levels that differ from normal airport operations.
Key Flight Activity Times
The planned schedule for flights is as follows (subject to change):
- Sunday, 10/4: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Blue Angels Team arrival (North Field)
- Wednesday, 10/7: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Media flights (South Field, Main Runway)
- Thursday, 10/8: 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Airshow practice (North Field)
- Friday, 10/9: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Airshow flights (North Field)
- Saturday, 10/10: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Airshow flights (North Field)
- Sunday, 10/11: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Airshow flights (North Field)
- Monday, 10/12: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Blue Angels departure (North Field)
