Polite Pilots Make Progress on Noise Abatement in Last Quarter

2,948. That is the number of times that corporate pilots taxied to Runway 30 and followed noise abatement procedures during takeoff at OAK last quarter. That’s a 95 percent compliance rate. So, we want to say thanks to every polite pilot who made the extra effort to be a good neighbor this last quarter. Taxiway Victor & Bravo Rehabilitation Project

Taxiway Bravo is one of the longest taxiways at the airport and connects the North and South Fields. The Taxiway Victor & Bravo Rehabilitation Project will repave the existing taxiways and upgrade in-pavement guidance lights. The project scope includes all of Taxiway Victor and over one mile of Taxiway Bravo between Whiskey and the North Field Bridge that crosses Ron Cowan Parkway. Oakland International Airport Announces New Viewpoint App Updates. The following information outlines details regarding the Viewpoint App updates: The "Would you like to be contacted?" field has moved to the “Submit Report” page. Residents can now modify their preference per complaint. Two new graphs were added to the history page: One for the number of events and one for event type breakdown. The number of complaints also now have a daily versus weekly toggle. Royal Air Force Display Team, Red Arrows, Coming to OAK

Oakland International Airport will welcome the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Display Team, the Red Arrows, on their North America Tour. The Red Arrows will arrive at OAK on Tuesday, October 1 at approximately 10:30 a.m. and depart on Wednesday, October 2 at approximately 11:00 a.m. Although there will only be one arrival and one departure of these aircraft, airport neighbors may experience an unusual level of noise due to the military aircraft operations.
