The North Field Runways, Runway 10L-28R and Runway 10R-28L, serve as important Secondary Runways capable of serving high-performance jet aircraft at the Airport, and are connected by Taxiway Bravo.  The North Field Runways provide operational capabilities when the Main South Field Runway 12-30 is impacted by maintenance and construction conditions, as well as provide air traffic safety separations between different aircraft performance types. Inspections performed as part of the Airport Pavement Management System (APMS) identified the North Field Runways 10L/R-28R/L and North Field Taxiway Bravo as priority projects for repair and rehabilitation in Summer 2025.  The project scope includes Runway 10L-28R pavement repairs and maintenance, Runway 10R-28L pavement rehabilitation and airfield safety infrastructure improvements, and Taxiway B pavement rehabilitation and lighting infrastructure improvements. The Runway 10R-28L & Taxiway Bravo Rehabilitation project portions are funded through the FAA Airport Improvement Program.

The Project Team has worked diligently to determine ways of minimizing impacts to overall airfield operations and community noise, including numerous discussions regarding phasing, work sequencing, and ways to ensure efficient construction operations within planned pavement closure windows.  During this work, typical runway aircraft operations may be impacted which could result in additional jet departures and arrivals on North Field.  Aircraft may overfly residential areas and residents may experience unusual aircraft noise.
